Dear Friend,
I would like to thank you for your continued support. As you many know I have announced my candidacy for State Representative of the 96th District. My good friend Jeff Mayes, who currently holds the seat, must step down due to term limits. I realize that I have some big shoes to fill, but the people of the 96th District want and deserve Quality representation in Lansing, and I am confident that I am up to the task.
I grew up in Bangor Township and I am a proud graduate of John Glenn High School. My wife Judy and I have lived in Bay County all our lives. I have seen Bay County thrive, and lately, I have watched Bay County Struggle. I want to be your voice in Lansing so I can help build a brighter future for all of us-right here in Bay County.
My Campaign will focus primarily on the economy, education, health care and our quality of life. I am honored to have been elected to represent many of you for the last 71/2 years, first as a Bay City Commissioner and now as the Mayor of Bay City. It has not always been an easy job, but even on the toughest days, I have truly enjoyed working with, and for, all of you. Despite the economic struggles we are facing in Bay County and beyond, we have always remained true to our core values. We have never lost faith, and we have never wavered in our commitment to one another, and to this unique and beautiful place we call home. The road ahead may be difficult, but Bay County will continue to grow and prosper because the people of Bay County never give up without a fight. And as your next State Representative, I promise that I will never stop fighting for you.
As we embark on this new journey I hope that I can count on your continued support and friendship! I look forward to seeing you at my upcoming fundraiser.
