Dear Friends,
 
The critical 2010 election may seem far off, but with Representative Jeff Mayes term-limited after three successful terms in the State House, we will be electing our next State Representative in less than a year.  We all know that these are challenging times for Michigan.  Clearly, we need both leadership and the ability to work with others to solve our State's problems.  We need cooperation and results, not excuses.
 
In my four terms as a County Commissioner, I have worked hard to provide this kind of leadership to the people of Bay County.  I want to continue to be a part of that process.  We need to create economic growth, bring jobs to our community and make sure that critical services like education remain a top priority, and we need to do this in a fiscally responsible manner.
